Bees make further addition to 2016/17 squad

The Bracknell Bees are pleased to announce that they have made a further addition to their 2016/17 English Premier League squad and are today unveiling the signing of nineteen year old English forward Danny Ingoldsby.

Danny, who started his career with the Guildford Firestars (U16s) and Phoenix (U18s), made his English Premier Ice Hockey League debut the following season with the Basingstoke Bison where he split his time with their Under 18 and NIHL 2 sides also and in his time with the Bison was part of their EPIHL Cup & Playoff Champion squad.

Ingoldsby then made the move to Bracknell in 2014-15 to join the Bracknell Hornets (NIHL) and also iced twice for the Under 18’s Drone also.   Impressing for the Hornets Danny was then called up by the Bracknell Bees for an EPIHL return and in 25 games netted four goals and an assist.   During his season in Bracknell he also received the call to represent Team GB at Under 18s level in the World Junior Championships Division 2A where he was part of the Bronze Medal winning side in that tournament.

For the last two seasons the 6’1” Danny has been with the high-flying Wightlink Raiders in the NIHL and in over 40 matches for the Isle Of Wight side he has netted eight goals and fifteen assists before their recently untimely demise.

Danny will join the squad with immediate effect and make his 2016/17 EPIHL Bees debut in their away game this Thursday in Sheffield v the Steeldogs.

Bees Head Coach Lukas Smital said of the addition of Danny Ingoldsby to the Bees squad for the remainder of the 2016/17 English Premier Ice Hockey League campaign:
“Whilst certainly in not the best circumstances for a club with the history of the Wightlink Raiders having been lost to the hockey community I am happy to have been able to acquire Danny’s services for the rest of our 2016/17 EPIHL campaign.   He brings experience for someone so young along with a solid work ethic to the side and gives us some depth in numbers as well as different options up front.”

With this seasons Own & Loan jerseys having all sold out there is now the chance for you to take part in the 2016/17 Jersey Own & Loan scheme by Owning & Loaning Danny’s jerseys, he will be wearing the #57 jersey once his own jerseys arrive.   There are two jerseys available:
