The Bracknell Bees have today received an update from the John Nike Leisuresport management, in regards to the rink repairs that have been underway, as follows:
“The AHU drive motor is back in position and will be tested today – if this works then the rink will return to being heated.
There will be a period of time when we have to replace the ceiling tiles before its completely back to normal. We are awaiting quotes from 3 companies to replace the ceiling tiles.
When the arena has dried out we will then examine the scoreboard to see if it is repairable.
The pipework for the new compressors for the ice refrigeration plant has been installed and tested and the new plant should be arriving on the week commencing 25th of September. This should ensure good quality ice with very little downtime.
As you will appreciate all of this represents a large investment from the company in Bracknell Ice rink and is testament to the support we have from our Chairman, John Nike.
I would like to extend my thanks to you and your team as well as the Bracknell Bees supporters for their patience and understanding whilst the work has been progressing.
The Bracknell Bees and their fans are an integral part of the ice rink and their loyalty and understanding are greatly appreciated.
The club would like to thank the John Nike Leisuresport Complex management and staff for their tireless work on these issues and for keeping both the club and fans up to date on progress.
