The Bracknell Bees today, along with the John Nike Leisuresport Complex management, wish to provide the fans with an update ahead of this Sunday’s home game versus the Basingstoke Bison, face off 6pm, at The Hive.
The club need to advise the visiting Basingstoke fans that we have been informed by the John Nike Leisuresport Complex management that due to the ongoing issues in the normal “away fans” area of the rink away fans will, for this weekend’s match, be allocated seats in the Block 1 area upstairs. It is hoped that these issues will be resolved in the next couple of weeks and allow us to make available the downstairs “away” section once more.
We understand that during the last couple of home games the relocation of away fans has had an impact on some season ticket holders and we wish to apologise to them and thank them for their understanding. If any season ticket holders wish to relocate their seat temporarily they can do so by talking to the rink on the match night or in advance of the game.
A new compressor is now in place meaning that any ice issues should now either be resolved or be close to being resolved and as you may have noticed last weekend the Zamboni/Olympia is also repaired and back in service.
The air handling unit, which controls temperature and therefore the condensation is still being worked on and it is hoped will be in place and functional by the end of the month. The scoreboard issues will also be looked into once the air handling unit has been fully fitted and is functional allowing further investigation to be carried out.
We have had it brought to our attention that the temporary scoreboard that is currently in place above the DJ booth has, when we have live streamed games, been obstructed and we will apologise for these issues and will be endeavouring to keep that disruption to a minimum when we are live streaming or filming games
Whilst we all realise that the ongoing issues are far from ideal the club would like to thank all supporters for their understanding at this time whilst these issues have and continue to be addressed by the John Nike Leisuresport Complex team. We would also like to thank the John Nike Leisuresport Complex management and staff for their tireless work on these issues.
