The Bracknell Bees are in action on Saturday evening this weekend when they welcome the Peterborough Phantoms to The Hive for a regular season league match, 6pm faceoff. On Sunday the Bees will be making the short trip to Guildford to face local rivals the Flames, 6pm faceoff.
The Bees will be looking to pick up where they left off last weekend when they picked up three out of a possible four points in their two games. An away win in Sheffield and an unfortunate penalty shot loss to the Guildford Flames will see the Bees in a positive mood going into this weekend’s match ups.
Saturday at The Hive sees the Bees welcoming the Peterborough Phantoms who are coming off the back of a split weekend last time out. A road loss to Guildford on Saturday was followed up by a shut out home win versus the Hull Pirates. The Phantoms are currently in fifth position in the league and recent results have been up and down for them. The last time the sides met was a little under a month ago at The Hive where the Phantoms ran out winners so the Bees will be looking to avenge that defeat and pick up a win over the Peterborough side to put an end to the hoodoo that the Phantoms hold over the Bees in recent years.
On Sunday the Bees head to Guildford for a local derby match up against the Flames. The Flames have struggled so far this season and find themselves in seventh place in the league. Last weekend’s two wins for the Flames broke a three game losing streak that they had been on. The Bees will be looking to repeat their success at the Spectrum back in early October when they ran out narrow winners on their last visit to Surrey and build on the penalty shot loss at The Hive to the Flames last weekend.
Tickets for this Saturdays home game v Peterborough Phantoms are now available from the rink box office on 01344 789000 or can be purchased on the day.
The weekly 50/50 cash prize draw will be return at the home game on Saturday as will the ever popular Shirt Off A Back raffle. It is defenceman Harvey Stead’s shirt up for grabs this weekend!
