Weekend Preview – EPIHL Regular Season Week 18

This coming weekend the Bracknell Bees start their weekend’s action with the long trip north to Sheffield to take on the Steeldogs (7.30pm faceoff) before returning to The Hive on Sunday to take on their M3 rivals the Basingstoke Bison, 6pm faceoff.

Following a busy festive period which saw the Bees with three home games and one road game over Christmas and New Year the Bees return to more regular weekend action.

On Saturday the Bees head to Sheffield for the second time this season to take on the Steeldogs.   On the Bees last trip to Ice Sheffield they returned with two points following a shutout victory over the Steeldogs in mid-week action.  Looking to narrow the gap in the fight for the final playoff spot the Bees will be hoping for more of the same but the Steeldogs will prove a tough opposition as on two visits to The Hive already this season they have secured two narrow victories.

Sunday sees the Bees take on the Bison in an M3 local derby at The Hive.  The Bison and the Bees have met four times already this season, twice each at The Hive and away in Basingstoke and faced each other the weekend before the festive period.   The Bison have won all four encounters so far this season and the Bees are sure to be looking to avenge these defeats and start the New Year on a positive note with a result over their local rivals and with local bragging rights also up for grabs the matchup is sure to be another tight and feisty affairs.

Tickets for this Sundays home game v Basingstoke Bison are now available from the rink box office on 01344 789000 or can be purchased on the day.

The weekly 50/50 cash prize draw will be return at the home game on Sunday as will the ever popular Shirt Off A Back raffle.   It is defenceman David Gaborcik’s shirt up for grabs this weekend!  Raffle ticket sellers can be found in the foyer at reception, in the Bees Knees bar and around the rink – remember you need to BEE In It To Win It!

Also the post-game signing table returns this week so why not bring those jerseys, programmes etc.. along and get them signed.   This is a weekly event so please check our social media and programme each week to see who will be manning the signing table after each game.  On the signing table tonight post-game will be Scott Spearing, Jack Hayes & David Gaborcik!

Don’t forget to pick up your copy of the Bees official match night programme The Buzz, packed full of articles, match reports etc… and still only £2.50 again this season!

We look forward to seeing you all at The Hive on Sunday for the Bees first home game since the festive period as they face their local rival the Basingstoke Bison or on the road the evening before as the Bees make the long trip north to Sheffield to face the Steeldogs – make it Loud & Proud for the Bees!
