Further update on Ice Rink repairs

The Bracknell Bees today, along with the John Nike Leisuresport Complex management, wish to provide the fans with a further update on the ongoing rink issues and repairs.

For the time being it will be necessary to seat the visiting team’s fans in Block 1 or Block 4 (upstairs) but it is hoped that the issues requiring attention will be resolved in the next couple of weeks and allow us to make available the downstairs “away” section once more.

We understand that during the last couple of home games the relocation of away fans has had an impact on some season ticket holders and we wish to apologise to them and thank them for their understanding.   If any season ticket holders wish to relocate their seat temporarily they can do so by talking to the rink on the match night or in advance of the game.

The air handling unit, which controls temperature and therefore the condensation is still being worked on and it is hoped will be in place and functional by the end of the month.   With this in mind we suggest that fans dress appropriately as the rink temperature is down a few degrees whilst this work is underway.

Fans had brought it to our attention that the temporary scoreboard that is currently in place above the DJ booth has, when we have live streamed games, been obstructed and we will apologise for these issues.   We have made efforts to keep that disruption to a minimum when we are live streaming or filming games and will continue to do so.   We again thank the fans for their understanding.

Whilst we all realise that the ongoing issues are far from ideal the club would like to thank all supporters for their patience at this time whilst these issues have and continue to be addressed by the John Nike Leisuresport Complex team.   The management of the Bracknell Bees had expressed to the rink that the issues are now impacting the club and it’s fans and we would like to thank the John Nike Leisuresport Complex management and staff for their work to date on these issues.
