Tetlow on two-way deal with Bees & Panthers

The Bracknell Bees are today happy to announce the return, on a two-way contract with the Elite League Nottingham Panthers, the 2015-16 Bracknell Bees Most Improved Player Josh Tetlow.

The towering 6’6” nineteen year old defenceman returns to the Bees for his third successive full season, having made his Bees debut in the English Premier Ice Hockey League (EPIHL) in 2014-15.

A true product of the Bracknell Ice Hockey Club Josh has been playing hockey in Bracknell since he began playing, lacing up his skates, and has progressed through the junior ranks and into the U18 Drones and NIHL Hornets before linking up with the EPIHL Bees. Whilst with the U18 Drones he was part of the Championship winning side in 2013-14 and split that season with the NIHL Hornets. The following season he caught the eye of the Bees and split his time between the Drones, Hornets and Bees before signing a full time contract in 2015-16.

A solid, stay at home defenceman he has grown into the side over the last three seasons, as well as in confidence and stature, so much so that he picked up the Bracknell Bees Supporters Club Most Improved Player award in the 2014-15 season. Last season he was also selected to the Great Britain U20’s squad for the World Championships Division 1B.

The young defenceman also caught the eye of Nottingham Panthers Head Coach Corey Nielson and he was recently signed by the Elite League club and will now partner with the Bracknell Bees on a two-way contract seeing him training with the Elite League side and icing in Bees matches primarily.

Bees player/coach Scott Spearing said of the two-way contract agreement:
“I’m glad that I have been able to negotiate a two way contract with Nottingham and welcome Josh back next season. Josh has a great work ethic and is always the first on the ice and the last off in training every night. I hope that I can work with Corey Neilson (Nottingham Panthers Head Coach) to help Josh continue to develop his game.“

As in previous seasons we are happy to announce that Josh’s jerseys will be available as part of our 2017-18 Own & Loan Jersey scheme.

The Light or Dark jerseys are both available and complete details of the scheme and the jersey designs will be released soon but if you are interested in participating in this great opportunity then please email us at with the details of the jersey you are interested in.

All shirts are sold on a first come, first served basis and the process is that you “own” the jersey and “loan” it back to the player for the season to wear. The jersey will then be presented to the owner at the end of the season at a time and date to be arranged.
