Welcome Martin Pavilcek

Welcome Martin Pavilcek

The Bracknell Bees are pleased to announce the latest addition to the Bees 2016/17 English Premier Ice Hockey League squad as Martin Pavlicek signs with the club.

The twenty-one year old Slovakian born defenceman split his time last season between HC Topolcany in Slovakia, where he tallied three goals and eight assists in thirty-eight games, and EC Kitzbuhel in Austria, where he iced at the conclusion of their season.

Martin has spent the vast majority of his career so far in the Slovakian U18 and U20 leagues, predominately for HC Nitra, but has also ice in the Finnish and Swedish U18 leagues. He has also represented Slovakia at U17 and U18 international level.

Despite his young age the well-disciplined defenceman will be another key addition to the Bees blue line for the forthcoming season.

Lukas Smital, Bees player/coach, said of the latest squad addition:
“Martin is another young player we have recruited who is keen to succeed and is looking to improve his game further with us. He joins us having spent time in Slovakia, Finland, Sweden and Austria. A defensively focused team player I look forward to working with him in his first season in the UK. “
